Malcolm Netburn is chairman and CEO of CDS Global. Since joining the company in February 2007, Malcolm has provided thought leadership to the various industries served by CDS Global, and has been a featured speaker at conferences throughout these industries.
Malcolm has over 25 years of experience with magazine, newspaper, book and media companies. Before joining CDS Global, he was a founding partner of Netburn McGill, a New York-based consulting firm that he helped establish in 1986.
A graduate of The George Washington University, Malcolm previously served in executive roles at Chemical Week Associates, Hart Publications, the Christian Science Monitor, the National Wildlife Federation and Scholastic.
Chris Simpson is vice president, general manager of CDS Global’s operations in Canada.
Chris joined CDS Global after beginning her publishing career in 1978 at Southam Business Publications in Human Resources. A year later, she was promoted to manager of Planning and Development in the Circulation department. In 1996, she joined MacLean Hunter (Rogers Media) as director of Business Magazine Circulation. Chris joined CDS Global in 2004 as vice president of Client Services and attained her current position in 2009.
Allison Dancy is vice president of Marketing at CDS Global. She is responsible for the company’s marketing, demand generation, branding and communications efforts.
Graduating cum laude from Iowa State University, Allison and has more than 15 years of experience in technology sales and marketing and has held marketing, channel and sales positions at companies such as Dell, IBM and Open Text/Vignette.
Nancy Gessmann is senior vice president, Global Operations for CDS Global. In this position, Nancy is responsible for Enterprise Data Solutions, Enterprise Reporting Solutions, Conversion, Postal Affairs and Project Management. She is also responsible for the CDS Global Operations facilities, Call Centers and Data Capture locations in Boone, Des Moines and Harlan, Iowa; Bethlehem, Pa.; and Prescott, Ariz., and for the Lettershops in Des Moines, Tipton and Wilton, Iowa; the Des Moines Distribution Centers; and Document Technologies. She is also responsible for CDS Global’s Canadian operations.
Nancy began her career at CDS Global in 1982 and held several management positions before being named the general manager of the Harlan facility in 1990. She was named vice president in 2002 and attained her current position in 2009.
Prior to joining CDS Global, Nancy worked at a weekly “Shoppers Guide” publication and printing company. Her community involvement includes six years on the Harlan City Council and various city-related boards and committees. She was named Harlan's Citizen of the Year in 1994.
Nancy is a member of The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).
John Goering is vice president of Solutions Engineering at CDS Global. In this position, John is responsible for leading the efforts to align the complex business needs of clients and organizations in the markets CDS Global serves with the company’s solution portfolio.
John has been with CDS Global since 1998. Prior to being appointed to his current position in 2011, he held several leadership roles within the company, serving as executive director of Product Management, director of Client Services, account director for Consumer Products, senior manager of the Des Moines lockbox/mail processing operations and senior manager in the Des Moines call center operations.
John earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Upper Iowa University. Before joining CDS Global, he held various leadership roles with a major retail credit card call center operation.
Kristin Hansen is chief workforce officer for CDS Global. Kristin is responsible for all Workforce functions, including benefits and benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and global training.
Kristin started her career at CDS Global in 1995 in account management, later moving to associate account executive in 1999, then to training and employee relations. In 2007, she was appointed Workforce director, a position she held until being promoted to chief workforce officer in 2010.
Kristin holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and serves on the membership and certification committees of the central Iowa chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Kristin received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Iowa, and holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Adult Learning degrees from Drake University.
Jamey Heinze is chief marketing officer at CDS Global, leading the company’s marketing efforts in all targeted industries and directing sales initiatives in new markets. In this role, he is responsible for increasing CDS Global’s brand awareness and ensuring future growth.
A graduate of Penn State University, Jamey has more than 20 years of experience in technology sales and marketing and has held marketing, product management and sales positions at companies such as Xerox, Level 3 Communications, Broadwing Communications and Open Text/Vignette.
Debra Janssen is chief operating officer of CDS Global. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of CDS Global’s business processes, including its Information Technology, Product Management and Operations areas, as well as all client-facing functions.
Debra has over 25 years of experience in high-volume transaction processing. Prior to joining CDS Global, she served as group executive of Integrated Processing Solutions and managing director of Access Prepaid Worldwide at MasterCard Worldwide, and has held executive positions at Hallmark Cards, Inc./eBizmix.com, First Data Corporation and Fidelity Information Services. She also served as chief information officer at Metavante Corporation.
Debra received her liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Mike Luksan is vice president of Sales for Magazines & Media at CDS Global. In this role, he is responsible for new sales within the publishing and media industry.
Mike joined CDS Global in 1991 and has served a number of our clients in account management roles. He has also held sales positions in both the consumer and business-to-business publishing arenas of the company. Prior to joining CDS Global, Mike worked in account management for the largest privately held insurance broker administrator in the United States.
An Iowa native, Mike received his degree from Drake University.
Mike Nell is chief technology officer at CDS Global. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic vision to CDS Global’s Digital Services and Research & Development teams.
Mike brings over 30 years of experience in IT to his role, previously serving as vice president of IT development and software engineering for MasterCard Worldwide's integrated processing solutions business. Mike also held various senior management positions at Deluxe Electronic Payment Systems, eFunds Corporation, EQUIX Financial Services and iStream Financial Services, leading teams that developed and operationally supported 24/7 electronic payment processing and business process outsourcing technology solutions around the world.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse.
Paul Polus is chief financial officer at CDS Global. In this role, he manages the company’s reporting, forecasting, audits, financial strategy and payroll, in addition to working as part of CDS Global’s multi-faceted leadership team to ensure the company’s future success.
Paul has a strong history of demonstrated leadership in a diverse range of markets, including seven years in the business process outsourcing industry. He most recently served as CEO and CFO of Cardiff Holdings Corp., and previously held the positions of CFO of Card Services for Fidelity National Information Services and director of Subprime Operations Analysis for Capital One.
Paul received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Michigan State University. He later attended Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, earning a Master of Business Administration in finance management and international business. He is a certified public accountant.
Beth Roy is chief client officer for CDS Global, overseeing all account management groups in the media, consumer product, nonprofit and utility markets.
Roy’s responsibilities at CDS Global have included a variety of leadership roles in Client Services and Sales, which have allowed her to develop extensive experience managing and maximizing customer relationships. She also played a key role in the creation of CDS Global’s suite of digital services. Before joining CDS Global in 1993, she developed experience in call center management, distributor network sales and direct mail marketing.
Roy graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in business/marketing. She has served on the executive boards of the Beacon of Life Foundation, the Fulfillment Management Association and Prevent Blindness Iowa, and she currently serves on the board of the United Way of Central Iowa Women’s Leadership Connection.
